Here is a list of our favorite quotes that we feel define us.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine
“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson
“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller
“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.” – Lao Tzu
“If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home.” – James Michener
“Not all those who wander are lost.” – J. R. R. Tolkien
Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” – Mark Jenkins
“Once in a while it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told to.” – Alan Keightley
and two runner ups:
“Without new experiences, something inside of us sleeps. The sleeper must awaken.” – Frank Herbert
“I am not the same having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.” – Mary Anne Radmacher Hershey

I love the first Mark Twain quote, I’ve always found it so inspiring.
“Fear will hold you prisoner. Hope will set you free”
From: The Shawshank Redemption.
Although not a travel quote per se, it is a quote that often comes to me when I’m feeling uncomfortable or fearful. It reminds me to embrace the fear and feel the hope…so far, so good.
I like the first Mark Twain quote as well, it goes with our personal beliefs. We don’t want to be 80 and have regrets.. that we didn’t see our friends more, travel more, have more fun, live more… Sometimes it’s better to take a risk and get the experience than never risk.
