We’re also pretty excited that this years Travel Blog Exchange is held here in Vancouver, BC on June 11th. If you haven’t heard of TBEX, it’s a conference for Travel Bloggers, Media and travel businesses to meet face to face rather than over the illumination of computer monitors. Both Dee and I grew up in the suburbs of Vancouver and currently live right in the heart of the city. Since, we have a lot of insider knowledge about things to do in Vancouver, it seemed appropriate to write a series to help out all of you who may be coming down for TBEX’11.

Vancouver is a beautiful city that was just ranked the #1 most livable city in the world for the fifth year in a row. It’s quite easy to see why it keeps winning too. Nestled in a picture perfect sunset ocean bay, with an elegant skyline of a metropolitan city complete with the epic backdrop of some majestic mountains. ┬áRight downtown is 1000 acre Stanley Park and within 3 hours is the world famous Whistler Blackcomb ski hills or head in the other direction towards the Rocky Mountains. Inside Vancouver there’s a plethora of various communities all with their own unique vibe, making it easy for all walks of life to find a hang out spot to love.
