As we continued to walk more and watched the ground you could see the spiders crawling around and stopping like a deer caught in head lights when they would come into full on view of my headlamp. Their glowing, beady eyes which were the size of a nail head stared right back at you.

I finally positioned myself over the squatter in a similar way to sitting on normal toilet, with my shorts and underwear carefully placed around my knees as the floor was all wet. … Being in the heatlh care profession I become quite paranoid of contamination when thinking about how many germs just may be around me and on that small bowl that everyone has to use.

Khao Sok National Park is one of the largest reserves in Thailand, and it’s chock full of more wildlife than anywhere else.
I never expected during our travels I would be standing in the Koh Samui airport waiting to see my parents faces on the arrivals walkway. But there I was, waiting for their delayed plane and feeling quite excited.
If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard about the Thailand full moon parties, here’s the deal. Each month on the full moon there’s a huge party that happens on Koh Phangan. What started out apparently as a birthday party has grown to be a massive party each month with spin offs at full moon, new moon and any other thing the Thai’s can think of.

When we were preparing for our year long trip, we looked long and hard for the perfect camera. Something that would take great night and day shots, had good color, and shot in RAW for the best possible effect. We chose the Canon G10 and have been super happy with it.
