OH HAI! NOTHIN 2 C HERE!

For Scott’s birthday last year we rented a couple scooters to whiz around the sleepy town of Chiang Pai to see the all the sights. But, more importantly, we rented said scooters so we could go on an adventure to buy some moonshine!

Scott and I made a tradition to get something to hang in our Christmas tree from each place we travel too. We started this on our honeymoon 4 years ago and since then we’ve filled the tree pretty quick with all the ornaments we gathered from our recent round the world adventure.

While Scott and I have been cranking up the heat, turning on the fireplace, and putting on all the warm clothes we can find we’ve been thinking about the places we were enjoying this time last year. Places like the beaches you find on the islands in the south of Thailand…

Meet Leonard the lazy leopard. Much like us, he likes laying around and playing all day. Hunting humans, eating food and enjoying the good life.

After realizing 2.5 weeks just passed us by as we did practically nothing in Pai we started to feel we should get out there, somewhere, and see/do something! After some humming and hawing we decided to drive ourselves to Soppong, spend a day, and then drive back.

It was kind of awkward. He obviously didn’t speak english. My Thai is pretty bad. But somehow I managed to get across to him that I wanted to fill up my empty bottle with moonshine.

We loved Pai so much we ended up staying there for 2.5 weeks! We even bought a sticker to stick on our laptop that will show the world our love for this place. It really is a unique gem in Thailand!
